Michi is a voice teacher who helps singers feel comfortable, confident, and in control of their voice. She is also a singer, songwriter, and professional musician with experience in live performance, recording, and music production.
Her teaching style is supportive, encouraging, and personalized so students can learn at their own pace without pressure. Whether you’re just starting or returning to singing, lessons are designed to meet you where you are, build healthy technique, and help you make real progress.
Michi brings real-world experience in singing, songwriting, recording, and live performance into her lessons so students can grow in both technique and musical expression.
Michi originally studied audio engineering and music production at Omega Recording Studios before realizing she wanted to be the singer on stage, not just behind the scenes. That shift led her into live performance, songwriting, and artist development.
Today, she brings that creative background into her teaching. In addition to coaching singers, Michi is a songwriter, co-producer, and developing pop artist whose work blends pop, K-pop-inspired energy, and Latin pop influence. Her artist perspective helps students grow not only in vocal technique, but also in musical expression, confidence, and style.
Michi’s recent performance highlights include appearances at The Pocket DC, Songbyrd DC, Throw Social in Washington, DC, Locally Grown Fest, and Asia Fest at Dulles Town Center.
Her work as an artist continues to shape the expressive, real-world perspective she brings into her teaching.

“I know how vulnerable singing can feel, especially when you’re just starting. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and excited to use your voice. You don’t have to be perfect—you just have to start.”
Real experiences from students learning with Michi.
“When I first started lessons I was shy and anxious, but Michi made it easy to relax and feel comfortable. After a year, my voice is stronger, I have better stamina, and I can hit high notes I never thought possible.”
